Conducting Experience

 

2001-present

University of Puget Sound:  Brass Ensemble Conductor

Schedule, program and rehearse brass departmental recitals; provide music for functions, including the inauguration of Ronald Thomas and graduation. 

 

2002

Tacoma Symphony Orchestra/Tacoma Ballet:  Cover Conductor

Prepared the score to the Nutcracker and led the orchestra in brief sound checks.

 

1999-2000

University of Washington: Teaching Assistant

Assisted Professor Timothy Salzman in all aspects of the UW Wind Ensemble and Concert Band, including: conducting rehearsals and concerts, maintaining the library, ordering music and arranging publicity.  In collaboration with Professor Salzman, taught the undergraduate conducting class.  Additional responsibilities included:  managing in all aspects the Pacific Northwest Band Festival including publicity, creation and preparation of mailings, scheduling, coordination of ensemble, making travel arrangements for out of state adjudicators, arranging catering, and gathering volunteers.

Brandeis University:  Wind Ensemble Conductor

Performed all responsibilities related to running the Wind Ensemble including:   repertoire selection, scheduling  rehearsals and concerts, and conducting performance.
