SPREADING STONECROP
Crassulaceae

Spreading stonecrop is a short, succulent, perennial herb named for its widely-spreading carpels in the fruits. The stems grow to only about 10 cm with wide, thick, opposite leaves that are usually tinged with, or even predominantly, red. The flowers are bright yellow and vivid against the rocks on which it typically grows. Spreading stonecrop is common on cliffs and rocky slopes at middle to high elevations.
