Formas del imperfecto

The imperfect is the easiest, most regular tense in Spanish. Notice that -er and -ir verbs have the same endings (all with accents):

comenzaba	pedía	vivía
comenzabas	pedías	vivías
comenzaba	pedía	vivía
comenzábamos	pedíamos	vivíamos
comenzabais	pedíais	vivíais
comenzaban	pedían	vivían

Irregular verbs in the imperfect

There are only three verbs with irregular forms in the imperfect: ir, ser, and ver. Even so, they are not very difficult:

iba	era	veía
ibas	eras	veías
iba	era	veía
íbamos	éramos	veíamos
ibais	erais	veíais
iban	eran	veían
