Requirements for the Spanish Minor: (5 units)   

 

Completion of a minimum of five units in one language at the 201 level or above. One unit must be at the 300 or 400 level and taken at the Tacoma campus. 

NOTE: Students must earn a grade of  C (2.00) or above in courses taken for the major or the minor in the Department of Foreign Languages and Literature. 

 

Courses Available for the Spanish Minor:

 

Spanish  201/202 Intermediate Spanish

·        201 & 202: After the satisfactory completion of Spanish 201 and Spanish 202, the full-year intermediate Spanish program, a student would need to take three more courses at the 200 level or above to complete the minor.  One of these courses needs to be taken in the Tacoma campus. 

·        Study Abroad: Students participating in study abroad programs approved by the Department earn considerable credit toward their minor.  Normally, students enrolled in our programs in Granada, Madrid, Salamanca, Buenos Aires, Santiago, etc. only need to take one more Spanish course upon their return to UPS in order to fulfill the requirements for the minor.
