This course aims focuses on oral fluency in Chinese through class discussions utilizing topics presented in online resources
and media materials and their illustration of language in a cultural context.

1. Read the text individually
and in class as a group, and answer the following questions (HW7):

請介紹中國哪些地方或者省有辣的菜。
b. 説明四川菜的辣,貴州菜的辣和湖南菜的辣有什麽不一樣?
c. 你喜歡吃辣的菜嗎?你比較喜歡什麽口味的食物:酸的、甜的、鹹的還是辣的?
d.請介紹美國的一個地方菜或者食物,可以談談味道、材料、或者爲什麽你喜歡。比方説,美國東北部的蛤蜊海鮮濃湯(clam chowder)很有名,特別是在波士頓,一定要嘗嘗看他們的這道菜。
