This course aims to develop increased accuracy in communication skills utilizing Mandarin Chinese in a cultural context.
Emphasis is on oral fluency, comprehension, and the language used in daily life for a college student.

Lev Nachman is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Harvard Fairbank Center for Chinese Studies. He is a Fulbright alum and holds a PhD in political science from the University of California, Irvine.  He recently returned to US after staying in Taipei for more than two years as a Fulbright Scholar, studying social movements and political parties in Taiwan and Hong Kong. He majored in Economics and studied Chinese at Puget Sound.
