RUSTY SAXIFRAGE Rusty saxifrage is a small (10-35 cm tall) herbaceous perennial with thick, basal, toothed, wedge-shaped leaves. The flowers are small and white with three larger petals bearing two yellow spots at the base and two smaller petals pure white. Typically, some of the flowers are replaced by plantlets. Rusty saxifrage is common on rocky outcrops and streambanks where seasonally wet from low to subalpine elevations. |
