Chrysosplenium glechomaefolium

PACIFIC GOLDEN-CARPET

Saxifragaceae

Pacific golden-carpet is a very small plant with smooth, rather succulent stems and leaves, that sprawls over the ground and roots at the nodes. The leaves are opposite and almost round with shallow teeth. The flowers are small, greenish, and inconspicuous with 4 sepals, no petals, and 8 stamens. Pacific golden-carpet is found in wet places, seeps, springs, and swamps at low to middle elevations.
