Columbia lewisia is a fleshy perennial with many spoon-shaped to elongated basal leaves. The flowering stems are 5-30 cm tall and support many flowers in an open branched cluster. The flowers have 7-9 white, pink, or pink-veined petals and 2 sepals. Columbia lewisia is occasionally found on gravelly or rocky outcrops at middle to high elevations.
