SIBERIAN MINER'S LETTUCE Siberian miner's-lettuce is a small (10-40 cm tall) annual/perennial herb with many small white to pinkish flowers, each with 5 petals and 2 sepals. The basal leaves are stalked and spoon-shaped; the 2 opposite stem leaves are similar in shape but stalkless. Siberian miner's-lettuce is common on moist shady sites (streambanks, forest understory) at low to middle elevations. This species has also been called Montia siberica. |
