Western spring-beauty is a small (5-20 cm tall) perennial wildflower common in moist subalpine meadows of the Olympics and Cascades. The two basal leaves are lance-shaped and slightly fleshy. The flowers have 5 white or pale pink petals, usually with pink veins, and have the 2 sepals characteristic of the family. There are typically only a few flowers in a loose cluster at the top of the stem.
