Spotted ladysthumb is a summer weed of gardens, waste areas, and agricultural land with lanky, jointed, more-or-less erect stems and white-pinkish inflorescences. The ocreas are prominent and the leaves are marked with a distinctive purplish triangular or crescent-shaped spot near the center.
