Star-flowered false Solomon's-seal is an herbaceous perennial with erect arching, unbranched stems, 20-60 cm tall. The leaves are alternate in 2 rows, broadly lance-shaped, 5-15 cm long. The flowers are creamy white, star-like, and borne in a sparsely-flowered (5-10) cluster at the tip of the stem. Star-flowered false Solomon's-seal is common in moist forests, clearings and meadows from low to (occasionally) high elevations.
