White fawn lily is a low (to 30 cm) herbaceous perennial. The leaves are paired and basal, broadly lance-shaped and mottled with pale green and dark brown. The usually single flowers are nodding, white, with reflexed tepals. White fawn lily grows sporadically at low elevations in well-drained, open, grassy areas to fairly dense rocky woodlands.
