Clintonia uniflora

QUEEN'S CUP

Liliaceae

Queen's cup is a low-growing (to 15 cm) herbaceous perennial with 2-3 leaves in a basal rosette. The leaves are glossy, broadly lance-shaped (up to 20 cm long), and slightly fleshy. The leafless stem bears a single white flower with spreading tepals which matures into a dark blue berry. Queen's cup is found in moist forest understory, clearings, and openings at low to subalpine elevations.
